Q: How do I make connections?
A: You can make connections in two ways. You can either click the "New Connection" link under Connections in My Profile or in the Business Center you can search for a connection. Once you've searched for a contact and found someone you'd like to connect with you can click on their image to open their profile and click "Connect with me," at which point you will be prompted to send a message. That user will receive an email stating that they have a new friend request.
Q: What does the Industry References section pertain to? Do I need to complete it?
A: The area on the site called Industry References allows a user to express what industries they are interested in. The SIC codes work as a universal reference point that can make it easy it to manage data and assist in transactions, especially those on an international level.
